IREE JOHNSON

Iree Johnson was born on May 15, 1936 in Marshall, Texas, to the parents Alton Roberson and Frankie Johnson. Her parents were believers of Christ Jesus and guided their children in the faith.

On March 29, 1958, she married Zembra E Johnson, and to this union, two daughters were born. After 56 years of marriage, he preceded her in death.

She united with Saint Phillips Baptist church at an early age where she remained faithful until her health failed. She served as a missionary for the members at Saint Phillips Baptist Church. Her caring spirit blessed so many during her 20 years of in-home daycare services and God gave her a special gift of love and compassion.

Her memories will be cherished by her three children, Cecilia Robinson, Denise Jalloh, and Stephanie Neal; grandchildren, Eric Robinson, Rachonda Robinson, Tiffany Dean, Aundrea Smiley, Saundrea Burton-Hodari, and Miya Neal; great-grandchildren, Tremaine Robinson, Tristan Robinson, Jaylen Robinson, Jerika Robinson, Xzavier Burton, Ava Hodari, Liam Smiley, Amani Hodari, and Chase Walker; sisters and brothers, Willie B. Roberson (deceased), Dorothy Carr (deceased), B Marie Yancy, Alton Roberson Jr. and Betty Fields (deceased stepsister);  her many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of many friends
