Jackie Senora Stewart “Jackie D” was born February 21, 1928.
Jackie accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of South Central Church of Christ until her health began to fail.
In 1967 Jackie married the love of her life James Stewart and they were inseparable. They remained married until his death.
Jackie was raised in Corsicana, Tx and was the oldest of seven children. She cared for all her siblings and was like a second mother to them. Her motherly love did not stop with her siblings but it poured into her nieces and nephews and their children.
In 1951 Jackie gave birth. to her one and only daughter Emily, who cared and loved her very much. Jackie also had one grandson, Jason who adored his grandmother .
Ms. Jackie to most who knew her was a lady of substance. She was a “Jack of all trades” she worked as a barber for many years in West Dallas. She later did domestic work and retired as a healthcare worker. She became an entrepreneur owning her own boutique.
Jackie was the “fashionista” of her family. She loved to dress up in her suits and hats and of course her accessories. She had a fashion sense that surpassed even Ms. LaBelle. Not only did she like to keep herself fashionable dressed but she enjoyed dressing her family and friends. She had a big heart and would often call her love ones and tell them she had something for them. Jackie enjoyed cooking and she could cook like no one you knew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers; Leroy Jackson, Jack Jackson, Willie Jackson, Henry Jackson and special nephew Willie Byrd.
Leaving to cherish her loving memory: daughter Emily Pritchett (Jimmie); grandson Jason O’Neal (Debra); two sisters, Vanna Linwood, Geneva King (Mike); one brother, Napoleon Jackson. Special nieces: Yarlette, Barbara, Gurthie, Algie, Eva, Geneva, Peggy, Rose, Marguerite, Toni; Special nephew: Alfonzo and a host of relatives
This jewel will surely be missed
