Jacob Emile Youngblood
Remembering the Life and Legacy of Jacob Emile Youngblood” Jacob served his country in the United States Army where he displayed courage, honor, and commitment to defend his country. Jacob was affectionally known by his family as” Pig and by his friends as “Murrrrrder” and passed away on July 1, 2024 at 72. Jacob was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 9, 1952, to the late Cornelius A. Youngblood and the late Bertha R. Eason-Youngblood. Jacob led a life filled with love and passion. Aside from his military service, family meant everything to him. Jacob also had a deep love for New Orleans second lines and jazz music. He played the Tambourine in many second line parades back home in New Orleans, In his spare time he enjoyed listening to second line music, dancing (second lining) and hanging out with family and friends. Jacob’s kindness extended beyond his immediate circle as he loved his community and New Orleans culture. His selflessness touched the lives of many, leaving behind a many memories of life, laughter and love. Jacob will forever be missed. As friends and family gather to honor and remember the life of Jacob Emile Youngblood, let us remember he lived life to the fullest life marked by love and generosity to all that knew him. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved and knew him.
A family viewing will take place at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas July 2024 immediately following a graveside service at the Veteran Memorial Cemetery July 2024. Jacob is survived by his loving family members who will cherish his memory forever. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved deeply and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
