James Curtis Peterson was born to Eddie and Helen Peterson, December 24, 1925, in Wellborn, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Alvin, Ernest,
Lowery, Leon, Donald, and Clifford Peterson.
James (affectionately known as Pete or J.C.) accepted Christ at an early age, and would serve in various ways in the church over the years. On December 11, 1948, James Peterson
married Alberta Phillips in Bryan, Texas. From this union, they were blessed with daughters, Beverly Ann and Jacqueline Kay.
After 22 years of military service (U.S. Army), James retired, returned to school, and earned his Associate in Applied Science degree at Tarrant County Community College. He remained an avid reader until his health began to decline.
James passed away peacefully at home after months of continuous compassionate care.
To celebrate his life and legacy, James leaves his loving wife, Alberta Peterson; daughters, Beverly Johnson and Jacqueline Bryant; grandson, Jeffrey Peterson; granddaughters, Angela Tillman and Robin Dulin; five great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
