On the 8th of May, 2024, the world bid farewell to Janeal Elizabeth Potts, a remarkable soul who touched the hearts of many with her warmth and infectious laughter. Born on the 26th of July 1949, Janeal's journey on this earth was one defined by, laughter, and unwavering kindness.
Janeal found fulfillment in her career as she dedicated years of service to the food service department at the V.A. Medical Center. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her caring nature and selfless dedication to helping others. Her colleagues remember her fondly for not only her professionalism but also for the way she would exclaim, "Oh goodness," a phrase that brought smiles to all who heard it.
Beyond her professional life, Janeal's true essence shone through in the roles she cherished most - that of a loving mother and grandmother. Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren, whom she adored with every fiber of her being. She found joy in simple pleasures like crafting, attending church services, and spending quality time with her family. Her home was a sanctuary filled with love, thanks in no small part to the three dogs and four cats she cherished.
