January Gilbert

January K. Gilbert was born on November 19, 1977 in Independence, Louisiana, to Victor Dawson and the late Evangeline Pounds.  She departed this life on January 25, 2018 in the comfort of her home.

She will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her devoted husband Edward R. Gilbert Jr., daughters Kenadie Gilbert and Trinity Dawson; grandson, Tristan Jenkins; father, Victor Dawson; sister, Jene' Dawson (fiancé Rodrick); two brothers Rafele Dawson and Niya Kuwon Dawson; grandmother, Mary Pounds; mother-in-law, Bonnie P. Gilbert, four sister-in-laws Erica (Antone) Sampson, Elicia Gilbert, Elana (Joshua) Etten, Evonnie (Aaron) Powell, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of relatives and dear faithful friends.

There will be a wake on Friday, Feb 2nd, 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm.  A service to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, February 3rd at 1 pm.  Both the wake and the service will be held at the Golden Gate Funeral Home, 5701 East Loop 820 South, Fort Worth, Texas.
