Jodie Ray Thompson, born on August 13, 1939, in Jewett, Texas, passed away on April 17, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a man known for his spontaneity, love for life, loyalty to his friends, strong work ethic, and passion for music and sports, particularly the Dallas Cowboys.

Jodie will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and joy. His memory will live on through the impact he made on those around him.

Jodie Ray Thompson is survived by his loving family and friends. The viewing will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home and Cremation in Fort Worth on April 29, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A wake service will follow at the same location from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the same day.

The graveside service will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas on April 30, 2024, starting at 10:15 AM. It is a time to honor Jodie's life and bid farewell to a remarkable individual.
