Joseph Lonnell Blunt was born August 22, 1962, in Memphis, TN to the parents of Oscar Blunt Jr. and Laverna Blunt. He attended school at South Oak Cliff in Dallas, TX. He grew up in the Baptist Church.
Joseph was working at Amazon for a total of 4 years. Although his health was failing, he still maintained the strength to earn a dollar. His hobbies were collecting scrap metals, and spending time with family and friends. He had an infectious laugh that was contagious. Joseph was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks fan. Joseph loved spending time with his oldest and dearest friend, Egypt Allen. He also loved all of his SOC (South Oak Cliff) classmates, class of 1980.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Blunt Jr. and Laverna Blunt, his grandmother, Earnestine Spates, his sisters, Simone Flagg, Carla Dixon, and his brother, Darrell N. Blunt.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories, his children; Joseph Lonnell Zachery Sr. (Camaara), Chiquitha Ann Zachery (Terrell), Brandon Lonnell Blunt, and Quiana Robinson; brothers, Averell Blunt and Oscar Blunt III, and sisters, Debra Thomas, and Brenda Dale Blunt; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
