Joyce was a vibrant and lively woman who brightened the lives of everyone she met. She had an infectious sense of humor and a joyful spirit that made her the life of every party. She had a heart full of love and compassion and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Joyce had a strong faith in God and was a praying mother who instilled religious values in her children.
Throughout her life, Joyce had an unwavering dedication to her family. Her proudest accomplishments were her three daughters: Tammy Stoglin, Wendy Perkins, and Sheenah Starlin (Brandon). As a mother, she showered them with unconditional love and support. Joyce cherished every moment spent with her children and was immensely proud of their achievements.
Joyce found joy in simple pleasures such as cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Her family will forever treasure the memories of Fish Fridays (you must buy it) when she would whip up delectable seafood dishes that brought everyone together. Their taste buds will always long for the flavors she infused into each meal.
When Joyce wasn't busy creating tasty culinary delights or caring for her family, she embraced hobbies that brought her immense happiness. Watching movies allowed her to escape into different worlds and indulge in captivating stories. Gospel music uplifted her soul and provided solace during difficult times. These hobbies served as outlets through which she could express herself fully.
An exceptional woman with a magnetic personality like Joyce's naturally attracted friends from all walks of life. She never met a stranger; her warm smile and genuine interest in others made them feel welcome and cherished. Her ability to connect with people on a deep level left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Joyce had a deep love for her family and maintained close relationships with her surviving loved ones. Her brother, Jesse A. Hightower Jr., was not only her sibling but also her confidant and friend.
