JUANITA URISTA

Juanita Navarro Urista was born February 23, 1949, to Jesse and Carlota Navarro in San Angelo, TX. She was a graduate of Cosmetology School in Dallas, and from Lakeview Centennial High School, and through a mutual acquaintance she met her husband Mirco Jose Urista Sr. In the year 1968, she married Mirco, the love of her life and moved to Dallas, Texas, and they went on to have five beautiful children, Jose (Christine) Urista Jr, Rosa Linda (Jimmy) Henson, Lisa (Tim) Babcock, Nicole Urista, and Marco (Shanna) Urista. In 1972, Juanita, through a life changing invitation from Sis Jean Johnson to visit church with her, was introduced to the powerful ministry of Full Gospel Holy Temple Church on Fordham Rd under the leadership of Apostle Lobias Murray and Evg. Dr. Shirley Murray. While visiting the church, she was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, and became a member that day. After several years in Dallas, Juanita having retired from the Richardson Independent School District moved to East Texas for a more tranquil life and started attending the Full Gospel Holy Temple Church in Longview under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Stanmore. There she faithfully worked along side her leaders to help further the Kingdom of God. Juanita returned to Dallas, TX in the year 2000 to be closer to her beloved children. Upon her return, she dedicated her services to actively assist with the FGHT Helping Hand Outreach Ministry that so gracious helped her in her earlier years. As the years went by, she moved her membership to the Garland FGHT under Apostle Herman L. Murray Jr and Lady Daniele Murray, in order to be closer to home and shorten her commute. On January 3, 2021 Juanita transitioned from Earth to Glory with her loving family by her side. Juanita is preceded in death by her father Jesse, husband Mirco, her sister Delia, brother Jesse Jr, and grandson Taurean. She leaves her five children, 22 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. Juanita’s, (Granny as she is called), greatest gift she gave to her children was a life lived for Christ. Through her life and commitment to the Lord, her family was introduced to Jesus. ~ And Granny, we are forever grateful to you for that.~
