Julia Taylor was born in Marshall, TX on March 21, 1928 to the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Ardell and Estella Daniels. She graduated from Marshall High School and moved to Dallas. She worked at Neiman Marcus 27 years as a Switchboard Operator Supervisor known as “Soup”. She united with Harold Taylor whom has preceded her in death. Upon moving to Oak Cliff Community in 1977, she united with Carver Heights Baptist Church and has remained a member until her death.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Alonzo Pipkins and Samuel Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Dianne, Sandra and Yvonne (Clifton Oakman); son, Lester Pipkins; stepson, Robert Pipkins; two sisters, Louella (Toni) and Hellen (Harold Bryant); stepsister, Sherrie Lee; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
