Julio Cesar Garza, lovingly known as "El Gordo," passed away on December 26, 2023, in Forney, Texas. He was born on September 10, 1976, in Dumas, Texas. Julio's educational journey was highlighted by his achievement of earning his high school diploma.
Throughout his life, Julio dedicated himself to the craft of upholstery. His career in upholstery allowed him to showcase his skills and passion for the artistry involved in transforming furniture into beautiful works of art. Julio's meticulous attention to detail craftsmanship earned him the respect and admiration of those fortunate enough to witness his work.
Julio's warm and infectiously funny personality left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His quick wit and good sense of humor brought joy to countless lives. He possessed a heart of gold that radiated kindness and compassion towards others. Julio's loyalty knew no bounds, always striving to help anyone he could.
Among the many cherished memories that will forever be held dear are the moments when Julio welcomed new life into the world with his birth, his marriage which was built on love and commitment, and the precious times spent playing with his beloved grandson. Additionally, he took great pleasure in assisting his godchildren with their homework, nurturing young minds with patience and understanding.
During his free time, Julio found solace in both watching and playing football and baseball. The thrill of these sports ignited a spark within him that fueled both his competitive spirit and unwavering enthusiasm. Additionally, dancing was a favorite pastime of Julio's; with every step he took on the dance floor, he effortlessly demonstrated his vibrant spirit.
One of Julio's proudest accomplishments was being hailed as a hero at Walmart. His selfless act displayed immense bravery as he stepped up in a moment of crisis to protect others. This extraordinary act showcased the true essence of Julio's character and exemplified his unwavering commitment to the well-being of those around him.
Julio was a devoted family man who leaves behind a legacy of love and adoration. He is survived by his loving spouse, Monica Garza, and their children: Mindy Trujillo, Christopher Ramirez, Wendy Henry, Oscar Reyes-Sandoval. Julio is also survived by his father, Victor Garza, mother Marcelina Baeza de Garza, brother Victor Hugo Garza, sister Carolina Medina, mother in law Isidra Castillo, sister in law, Rosemary Espinosa, as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, godchildren, and countless other family members and friends.
Julio Cesar Garza will forever be remembered for his infectious laughter that lit up every room he entered. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and genuine love for others. May Gordo's spirit continue to dance in our hearts and may his memory serve as a reminder to live life to the fullest with compassion and humor.
