Katie Beatrice Peoples, a devoted educator and esteemed community member, passed away on August 15, 2024 at the age of 92. Born on April 20, 1932, Katie's life was one marked by her deep commitment to education and her passion for serving her community.

Katie earned her Master’s degree from East Texas State University, a significant that paved the way for her rewarding career in education. Throughout her tenure, she served diligently as both an educator and an administrator within the Dallas Independent School District. Her impact on the lives of her students and colleagues was profound, fostering a love of learning and a spirit of excellence that resonated throughout the schools she was part of.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Katie was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She lived her life exemplifying the values of sisterhood and service, inspiring many with her dedication and integrity.

A memorial service to honor Katie's legacy will be held on August 23, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Friends, family, and colleagues are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who enriched the lives of those around her.
