Mr. Ken V. Prentice was born on October 6, 1953 to the late Richard Carter and Velma Prentice. He attended L.G. Pinkston High School in Dallas Tx. He accepted Christ at a young age.

Ken married Johnnie Faye Moning in 1972 and a son was born to the union in 1972. Ken lived in Dallas, Tx and held a number of jobs. He met Francis Brown in 1975 and a daughter was born in May 1978. Ken continued his life in Dallas, Tx where he met Tammye Dade in 2010. At the time of his death, he had been employed at Continental Nh3 Products since 2007.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a common law wife, Tammye Dade. One son, Tarus Prentice (Lakeisha); one daughter, Dorothy Jeter (Kenneth). One brother, Terrance Prentice; four sisters, Sandra White (Larry), Reba Hodge (Ricky), Yolandra Prentice-Brooks, and Chandra Prentice. Five grandchildren; Robert West, Jordan West, Cornelius Chambers, ZaKerra Prentice, and Zavier Prentice. One step grandchild, Keanna Dial, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
