Khaliyah LeRoice Dickson was born April 22,1996 to the parents of the late Kenya Treadway Smartt and Cornelius Dickson in Biloxi, MS. Due to hurricane Katrina, the family relocated to Dallas, TX where Khaliyah graduated from Cedar Hill Collegiate High School earning her high school diploma and her associate degree simultaneously in 2014.
At a youthful age, she was a little league cheerleader, cheering for her brother TJ’s football team. Khaliyah accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed going to church with her family unless the services were long. Khaliyah enjoyed spending time with her family and friends while celebrating life in many ways. She enjoyed getting “glammed” and looking fabulous. She loved to make people laugh, leave you with a smile and share some “tea.” Khaliyah enjoyed watching Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal letting everyone know not to disturb her while she watched her shows.
To add to her life’s resume, she ventured into office administration, mixology, and customer service. Khaliyah’s perfect world and pride and joy began on November 1st of 2020 when her beautiful princess Kennedi Lechay Monae Curry was born. Most recently, Khaliyah started spending time praying and meditating coming into her own relationship with God.
She was preceded in death by her best friend, mother Kenya Treadway Smartt and great-grandmother, Annie Mae Bryant, who affectionately called her Cleetus.
