Larry Beasley, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on October 6, 2024, in Dallas, TX, at the age of 69. Larry was a beacon of warmth and humor, his laughter echoing in the hearts of all who knew him.
An alumnus of Ennis High School Class of 1973, Larry furthered his education at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, where he earned a Bachelor in Theology, alongside an Associates from Stephen F. Larry was married in 2003 to Shonsey Swain-Beasley. From this union, they had one beloved daughter Shanin (stank) Swain-Beasley.
He had a personality that could fill a room; his jokes were endless, and every conversation felt like a cherished moment. Larry had a remarkable gift for making anyone feel at ease, never having met a stranger, and he possessed an innate ability to listen with an open heart. Blessed with a great sense of humor, he spoke slowly, each word chosen with a depth that reflected his thoughtful nature.
Larry’s proudest accomplishments were his daughter Tia and his four adoring grandchildren: L.J., Roo Roo, Keke, and J.C. Their accomplishments were the medals he wore proudly—each achievement a star in the sky of his legacy. Family gatherings were not simply events; they were moments of joy, laughter, and connection that sheathed his life in love.
He shared spirited arguments filled with passion with his first and only love, Shonsey Sr, yet these interactions were underscored by a bond forged in deep admiration and respect. Together they created cherished memories that stretched across time and distance, such as taking the train from Lewisville to Temple to make Tia chili and chicken salad—a culinary escapade, emblematic of their playful but loving relationship.
An exceptional cook, Larry’s culinary creations delighted all who sat at his table—a true reflection of his nurturing spirit. He loved nothing more than to walk with Prince, his beloved canine companion. And as a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, he reveled in each game day, bonding with his son-in-law K.T. over shared cheers and the thrill of the game.
in the late night of October 6, 2024, Larry passed peacefully from this life. He was proceeded in death by both of his parents, J.C. and Estella Beasley, four brothers: Clarence Beasley, J.C.
