LaTraviscia Beasley transitioned on into glory on Thursday, the 27th day of April, in the year of our Lord, 2023. Born September 20, 1993 in Dallas, TX to the parentage of Travis Beasley, Sr. and then, Vickie Smith Beasley.
Cici aka Lala (to many) “My Quiet Strength…” was a very quiet but very smart young lady. She would read all the time. Her vocabulary was WOW, huge! She was never lost for words, and could hold conversations with the best of them. J She was as genuine as they come. She was a very sweet soul! Cici though short-lived was very impactful to everybody she’d meet. To know her, was to love her! J When she spoke, her words were always, as-a-matter-of-fact, yet seasoned with grace. Even when angry, she did it like the Word of God teaches, she did get angry but she sinned not. She was wise beyond her years. Her voice was always utilized in a calm fashion, as she never spoke above her normal tone, even when upset about something. No matter what was going on around her, she kept her same normal quiet tone of voice. I LOVED that about her! And oftentimes, wondered how did she do it. J Now, we understand better, she was simply, an Angel! “Family, we had another angel amongst us and we didn’t even know it.”
Cici graduated from Desoto High School in Desoto, TX, the Class of 2011. She later attended the University of North Texas, where she began her studies in the Radio, Television, & Film program. She had an awesome gift of writing. She ALWAYS impressed those in education (i.e., Educators, Professors, etc.) with her ability to write. She would literally cause the WOW effect!
Cici came to know the Lord at a very early age, and was faithful to God to the end. A couple of her favorite gospel songs, were, “I Need You Now” by Smokey Norful and “Yes” by the Shekinah Glory Ministry. And because she loved to dance, she served in the dance ministry at Gospel Tabernacle (under the leadership of Bishop David Martin) as a little lass. J Her dedication to God extended on into her membership with the Mount Rose Church (under the leadership of Bishop Jeffery Thomas), where she continued touching the lives of those around her with such quiet strength until God called her home.
Cici’s quiet works, gifts & talents followed her on into the pearly gates. I can hear Him saying, WELL DONE Cici, thou good and faithful servant, you’ve been faithful over a few things…ENTER INTO THE JOY OF OUR LORD!
She was preceded in death by her grandparents (the late, Prelate Bishop Charles L Smith, Ruth Beasley & Lee Herman Beasley)…She leaves to cherish her legacy of love: Her dear mother, Vickie Smith-Peavy; father, Travis Beasley, Sr.; her dear grandmother, Mary Fox; 1 sister, LaTauvia Smith-Phillips of Cedar Hill, TX; 5 brothers, Cornelius Beasley Young of Plano, TX, Travis Beasley, II of Cedar Hill, TX, Kameron Beasley of Mesquite, TX, Ayden Beasley & Kayden Beasley (twins) of Desoto, TX; 4 Aunts, Tarae Smith & Tiffany Smith-Bryant both of Venus, TX, Charfolla Smith of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Felicia Beasley-Smith of Seagoville, TX; 1 special grand-aunt, Jo Ann Berry, of Lancaster, TX; 1 uncle, Tracy Beasley, Sr. of Grand Prairie, TX, 1 grand-uncle, Jerome Reynolds of Duncanville, TX…and a host of other family and very special friends.
