LAVERNE RUTH RICHARDSON

Laverne Ruth Richardson, a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on March 31, 1940, Laverne lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a deep commitment to those around her.

Laverne was known for her warm heart and kind spirit, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her contributions to her community were immeasurable, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. She exemplified grace and resilience throughout her life, leaving a lasting legacy that will be remembered by all who knew her.

A funeral service to honor Laverne’s life will take place at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, located at 4901 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20011. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on March 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, concluding at 12:15 PM.
