LEE JOHNSON

June 8, 1941 — August 2, 2021

LEE JOHN JOHNSON was born on June 8, 1941 to the parentage of  (Robert Lee (KIT) Johnson , Mittie Waits (Later raised by Step Father  Mr. James Waits). He was preceded in death by his wife, Estell Johnson; son, Larry Pollard; daughters, Linda Overton, Wanda Jennings, Anita Fern Johnson, Vickie Johnson; sisters, Alice Faye White and Bernice Thompson; five brothers; granddaughters, Arica Johnson Guinyard, and Loretta Walker; grandsons, David Walker, Dennis Walker, Timothy Walker; great, great grandson, MaKhai Jacor King.

Rev. Lee John was a member of Lacey Chapel United Methodist Church, Italy, Texas for many years.  Later in life he joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church under the leadership of his Pastor and great friend the late Pastor Roscoe Square, where he gave his life to Christ and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.  Years later he joined Greater Mt Zion of Waxahachie and served faithfully, under the leadership of Pastor Ollie McDade.  He returned to his Mt Gilead Baptist Church in Italy, Texas and served as a dedicated member and Minister under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Preston E. Dixon until his departure.

He leaves to cherish his great friend, Betty Sue Clemons; sons, Felix Johnson of Houston Texas, Glenn Johnson of Italy Texas, LeRoy Johnson of Italy, Texas, Johnny Johnson (wife, Michelle Johnson of Ennis Texas, James Johnson (wife, Stephanie Johnson) of Corsicana, Texas; daughters, Regina Johnson of Glenn Heights, Texas, Teresa Johnson of Waxahachie, Texas, Jolinda Johnson of Italy, Texas; thirty-five grandchildren; and a host of great children, great, great children, nieces and nephews and a whole lot of friends.
