Lee Andrew Manning was born in Rayville, Louisiana to Eliza Mae Jackson on March 17, 1947. He was lovingly raised by His Grandparents, Alex (Hunni) and Pearl Lee Compare.
Lee left Louisiana and made a life in Dallas, where he met and married the Love of His Life, Genet. They were married on March 18, 1972 and have been married 46 years. Lee also served as a Building Engineer for Dallas, Power & Light (DP&L), Zale Lipshy and after nearly 30 years of service, he retired from T. U. Electric.
Lee was the Life of the Party and the Light of his Family. He is survived by his Wife, Genet, and his Children: Aundray (Keisha) Manning, Wanica (Demontaye) Nixon and Tameika Manning. His Grandchildren: DeAundray Manning, Jazzmyne Manning, Aundray Manning, Jayden Manning, Asha Manning-Mumphrey, Amauria Pearl Manning-Nixon. His Great-Grandchildren: Aleesya Bolden, Ralph Price IV & Aiyanna Price.
Lee's Love Overflowed to his Siblings: Dave Manning, Willie Henry Green, Annie Mae Hill, Pat (Jackson) Davis, Lisa Ann Kennedy and Extended Family: Sherman (Sarah) Manning, Sharon Manning, Willie (LaTricia) Manning, Floyd Manning, Betty Jean Bostick, Gary (Pearline) Carlton, Mary Smith, Susan Henry and Ann Manning. He was preceded in death by His Son, Reginald Dewayne Manning, and Laura Williams.
His lasting memory is also cherished by his Lifelong Friend of over 50 years, Willie Sheppard and Family Friend, Zerita Phillips (along w-Damien Roberson, Rorey & Serah Westmoreland-Phillips and Devin Westmoreland-Roberson).
Lee lovingly and quietly went into the Arms of GOD on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. His loving wife, Genet, was by his side as he made his Ascend into Heaven.
