Lenworth Reed Sr. was born on May 14, 1933 in Coolidge, Texas to the late Tom and Eliza Reed. He received his education in the schools of Sandy Community, Bishop College in Dallas, Texas and served in the United States Army. He meet and later married Lela N. Hemphill on January 2, 1954 and later relocated to Dallas and joined Warren United Methodist Church where he was an active member until his health failed. His love for his family and dominoes is what he cherish the most. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Eliza Reed, seven brothers and four sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Lela, four sons; Lenworth Jr. (Betty), Alvin, Marvin and Stan (Tiffany), two daughters; Linda and Sharon, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and four great greatgrandchildren, one brother Lewis Reed (Dorothy), two brother-in-law; William Hemphill (Lois) and Waymon Hemphill (Celester) and one sister-in-law Joyce Arterberry and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
