Lillian Giles Smith

It is with earthly sadness and heavenly triumph that we announce Lillian Giles Smith, 94, of Tallulah, has made the transition to her new home in glory. She smiled her last smile on October 31, 2024.

She was a faithful member of Christian Life Church in Monroe until her declining health prevented her from making the drive.

Lillian is preceded in death by her sons, Harris Giles and Wesley Smith.

Lillian lived and worked in the Tallulah community as a beautician and nurse. She styled many heads in her home, and she walked the halls of Madison Parish Hospital for 56 years from 1958 to 2014.

She leaves to carry on her legacy, the ‘Smith hard-work gene’, seven children: Edna, Jacqueline, Myron, Deborah, Regina, Darren, and Marvin, along with countless adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

We look forward to embracing her surviving brothers and sisters and carrying on together.
