Our beloved Lillie B. Adger received the call from her Heavenly Father to leave this world and return home on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
Lillie Bell Gray was born on May 31, 1936, in Gilliam, Louisiana. She was united in holy matrimony to O.C. Adger on April 11, 1954, in Belcher, Louisiana, and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.
She worked as a cosmetologist and retired from a successful salon business after more than 50 years. She absolutely loved to cook and, at one time, owned a restaurant. Her doors were always open to feed anyone who wanted a home-cooked meal. She was actively involved in the church, hosting plays, musicals, and other events to help support the work of the ministry. Sister Adger loved to sing and was often requested to do so from an early age. She was a people person with a caring disposition, ready to help anyone in need. Sister Adger loved fishing and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leonard Maurice Adger.
She leaves to cherish her memories and love: beloved husband of 64 years, O.C. Adger; daughters, Gloria Thomas Anderson and Joyce Bowman; one son, Carl Adger (Francene); Lawana Adger (Leonard’s wife); her last surviving sibling, Johnny Gray Jr.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a wide host of loving relatives and friends.
