Loranzo Tarkington, a man who had a great sense of humor and a heart filled compassion, passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on January 23, 1945, and his departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

Loranzo's journey will be honored and remembered through a series of services. The viewing will take place on August 16, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Following this, a funeral service will be held on August 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at New El Bethel Baptist Church in Dallas. Finally, he will be laid to rest with military honors at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on August 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM.

Loranzo Tarkington proudly served in the United States Army for 2 years, a chapter in his life that he cherished dearly. His dedication and service to his country were among his proudest accomplishments. Not only a dedicated soldier, but Loranzo also found solace and joy in fishing, an activity that brought him peace and contentment.
