Louise Anne “Lou Anne” White-Grose was a caring wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. Lou Anne passed away on January 25, 2022, at the age of 60, after a courageous cancer battle; surrounded by her children, husband, brother, sister, and mother, she peacefully left the pain of her body behind.
Lou Anne’s life journey began on June 28th, 1961, in Raleigh, NC as the 4th child born to Romas and Jerry White. Born with spunk and energy, she filled her time with swimming, dance, drill team, and soccer while always filling her social quota. She graduated from Sanderson High School in 1979 and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1984. After her studies, she seized the opportunity for adventure and headed off to Australia, where she taught swim lessons, swam on a competitive team, and met many lifelong friends along the way.
Upon coming home after nearly 2 years, she joined American Airlines on the reservations team in Raleigh, where she met her future husband, Jim. In 1998, after moving their young family to Texas, her career path shifted into training, curriculum development, and video production. Having won awards as an accomplished producer for AA, she found her niche in video production and Learning & Development, which steered her towards starting her own company as DFW Producer, LLC.
Lou Anne was preceded in death by her father, Romas T. White; paternal grandparents, Romas and Louise White; and maternal grandparents John and Louise McKinney. She is survived by her devoted spouse of 27 years, Jim Grose; daughter, Holland Grose, both of Fort Worth, TX; son, Kyle Grose of Birmingham, AL; mother, Jerry White of Raleigh, NC; sister, Cindi (Ned) Kilfoyle of McLeansville, NC; brother, Gary (Willa) White; brother, Tim (Josie) White both of Beaufort, NC; and a vast host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Anyone who knew Lou Anne knew of her radiating light, joy, and spirit. As a lover of people and animals, you could always find her advocating for others, making friends, and rescuing new pets. She was a vibrant and colorful woman who had never met a stranger. To honor all of the fantastic things Lou Anne has done, a celebration of life will be held at the family home in Fort Worth, TX on April 9th, 2022. Please reference the immediate family for details.
