Lynda Carroll, a remarkable woman with a passion for and a heart full of love passed away on February 9, 2024. Born on March 27, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, Lynda leaves behind a legacy that encompasses a lifetime of teaching, service, and spreading joy wherever she went.
Lynda dedicated herself to shaping young minds through her career in education. She began her journey by teaching in public schools in Dallas before embarking on an adventure to Frankfurt, Germany, where she shared her knowledge and enthusiasm with students from different cultural backgrounds. Upon returning to the United States, Lynda continued to excel in her profession as an Education Specialist at Ft Huachuca in Arizona.
Her tireless dedication and unwavering commitment led her to become a Senior Executive at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). There, she utilized her expertise to make a significant impact on environmental policies and regulations, leaving an indelible mark on the organization.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lynda was cherished as the First Lady of the Outreach Missionary Baptist Church (OMBC) where her warmth and compassion were evident to all who crossed her path. With Lynda by his side, Reverend Carroll found unwavering support and love throughout their journey together.
Lynda possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She had a magnetic personality that instantly made everyone feel welcomed and valued. Never known for being shy or reserved, Lynda radiated joy and laughter wherever she went. Her vivacious spirit inspired those around her and brought immeasurable happiness to countless lives.
Lynda's thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education. She obtained an undergraduate degree from Texas Woman's University (TWU) before furthering her academic pursuits with a graduate degree from the prestigious University of Arizona. Her thirst for knowledge was matched only by her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
In honor of Lynda's life, her loved ones will be gathering to pay their respects and celebrate her remarkable journey. Visitation will be held on February 21, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Outreach Missionary Baptist Church located at 1431 Hudspeth Ave, Dallas, TX 75216.
A grand Celebration of Life ceremony will take place the following day, February 22, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM at the same location. This joyous occasion will serve to commemorate Lynda's accomplishments, the lives she touched, and the love she shared.
Finally, Lynda Carroll will be laid to rest in a solemn burial ceremony on February 23, 2024. The burial will take place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. The ceremony will commence at 11:00 AM, marking the final farewell to a remarkable woman who left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
