MARIYAMMA KURIAN

Mrs. Mariyamma Kurian went to be with the Lord on June 27th 2018. She was born as the 2nd child to the late P.C Chandapillai and Eliyamma Chandapillai, Panakkamuttom. She was the only sister to her four brothers.  Mariyamma lost her mother at the tender age of 10.  Though she was a bright student, she had to take over some of the responsibilities in caring for her family at a very young age.

She married Kunnel Chacko Kurian and was blessed with 7 children, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  She worked hard for her family from a very young age.  She migrated to the United States in 1990 to join her children and grandchildren.  Mariyamma was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Richardson, TX.

Mariyamma influenced the people whom she met with her qualities of caring and hospitality.  She was passionate in the love she had for her family.  She could not rest until she made sure she was able to meet everyone’s needs.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She has been preceded to glory by her husband Kunnel Chacko Kurian and her youngest son Chandapillai Kurian (Raju).

Mariyamma leaves behind her children: Gracy George, Alice John, Kunnel Chacko, Susan M. Aniyan, Mariamma John and Achamma Benny.  Their spouses: Rev. George Varghese, Benny John, Anu Chacko, Rev. M. O. Aniyan, Thomas John, and Rev. Benny Kunjumon.  Her grandchildren: Smitha and Bibin, Liz and Praice, Jasmine and Sherin, Alan and Sherine, Aaron, Abraham, Keziah, Joseph, Cecil and Shinju, Shino, Ashley, Amy, Emily, Jeremy and Isaiah.  Her great-grandchildren: Joel, Hope, and Jithin.
