MARY BATTIE

Mary Helen Battie was born September 3, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to Earnestine E. Bowens and James Battie. She attended Dunbar Elementary and Lincoln High School. She was a loving mother blessed with three kids, Johnny, Nicole and Catrina.

Mary Helen Battie departed this life on May 8, 2018. She is preceded in death by her brother, Eddie B. Battie; sister, Francis Battie; mother, Earnestine Bowens; and father, James Battie.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Johnny Battie; daughters, Nicole Battie and Catrina Battie; grandkids, Shanterika, Ja Quaime, Sincere, Jonathan, Alexis, J’niya, Jada and Brooklyn; great-grandkids, Zaydon and Zaine; sisters, Ruby Neil Battie and Shirley Ann Battie; brothers, Rickey Battie and James Earl Battie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her dearly.
