Medis Jean Traylor was born February 11, 1945 to the late Len T. and Alma Coleman of Lisbon, Louisiana.
Merdis accepted Christ at an early age at Salem C.M.E. Church in Lisbon, Louisiana. She received her formal education in Lisbon, Louisiana at Pineview High School in 1963. She united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Clyde Traylor on June 13, 1964, and to this union one son was born.
On March 5, 2022, God called his angel home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clyde Traylor, father Len T. Coleman, mother, Alma Coleman, two sisters, Mae Ola Coleman and Noda Morine Coleman, two brothers Gary Coleman and LT Coleman.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing: her son Robert Demond Traylor; five sisters, Ruby Bullock, Nodie Waters (Travis), Winifred Yvonne Coleman all of Dallas, Texas, Constance Coleman Ellis and Dina Coleman of Coushatta, Louisiana; two brothers, Lewis Charles Coleman of Dallas, Texas and Byron Coleman of Mount Pleasant, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Hazel Coleman, Pearline Wilson and Earlean Traylor of Dallas, Texas; a very special uncle, James Norton of Homer, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
