MICHAEL COOK

October 28, 1952 — May 21, 2022

Michael David Cook

October 28, 1952 – May 21, 2022

Mike went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on the morning of May 21, 2022, at his home. He was surrounded by his devoted wife, daughter, and several grandchildren. Mike was born October 28, 1952 to Rev. Floyd H. and Eva Mae Cook in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated in 1971 from O. D. Wyatt High School. On June 3, 1972, Mike married Shelia Pearson. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary next month. He enjoyed fishing with his family members and friends. He loved to take his family camping during summer months. Mike loved serving as a bus driver, encouraging his wife to serve in different areas of ministry and attending church services together at Worth Baptist Church for the past 35 years. He had a heart full of love and compassion and was a good example of the Fathers love for his two children, seven grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews (at times when they needed him most). He was known to do anything that was asked of him for his family. Mike was preceded in death by his parents: Floyd H. and Eva Cook and sister Genoise Bowden. He is survived by his wife: Shelia Ann Cook, daughters Angela Dee Cook and Jennifer Lynn Perry and son-n-law Chris, his seven grandchildren: Abigail Lynn, Ethan Michael, Andrew David, & Elisabeth Ann Seifried, Colin David, Victoria Ann, & Madalynne Gail Perry, his siblings Fulton (Rose) Cook of Saginaw, Dennis Cook of Alvarado, Martha (Jerry) Pitman of Rochester, Indiana, Lydia (Bob) Weido of Smackover, Arkansas, Daniel (Connie) Cook of Bedford, Deborah (Walter) Gaddy of Forest Hills, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
