Michael Spencer began his journey through life on November 5, 1960 born to the parentage of James Spencer, Sr., and Darlene Spencer in Shreveport, LA.

Michael received his formal education from the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Spruce High School in 1979. After high school Michael served his country by enlisting in the Marine Corps for 3 years. Upon leaving the Marine Corps Michael began a career with the TXU Energy for 28 years of service until his retirement.

Michael met the love of his life; Birdie Robertson which he always said he knew she was the one. They were united in marriage on June 4, 1988 and to this union they had 2 sons. Michael loved spending time with his family. In Michael’s spare time he enjoyed rolling skating, fishing and attending to his horses.

On Sunday, May 8, 2016 the Angel of Death took Michael away to his heavenly home. He is joined in heaven by his father, James Spencer, Sr. and brother, Edward Ray Spencer.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Birdie Spencer; 2 sons, Quindrick Robertson, Michael Spencer, Jr.; mother, Darlene Spencer; 3 brothers, Kenneth Spencer, Larry Spencer, and James Spencer(April); mother-in-law, Annie Lacy; father-in-law, Joe Lacy; sister-in-law, Virdie Nelson; 3 grandchildren, Saraye Hall, Ja’Corey Robertson, Brooklyn Robertson and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
