MILDRED RILES

October 17, 1952 — January 31, 2022

Mildred "Millie" Lavern Riles was born on October 17, 1952, to L.C. and Robbie Little in Fort Worth Texas. Out of 7 children, she was the eldest. Mildred was baptized at an early age by her grandfather the late Rev. R.B. Gray at Greater Saint Stephens Missionary Baptist Church where she continued to grow in her faith. She graduated from P.L. Dunbar High School; class of 1971. Success was an understatement compared to the accomplishments she contributed throughout the years. To name a few she attended Tarrant County College, showed great leadership throughout her years, and had a strong determination to achieve her personal goals. She was employed through Texas instruments, Motorola, and the T, before changing her career path to the U. S. Postal service where she later retired. In her early years she enjoyed shopping and focusing her time on her boutique.
Mildred was a virtuous woman who was gifted in many aspects; she loved hosting, and entertaining business and family events. Nevertheless, Mildred was always there to lend a helping hand, and give advice when needed. One of her greatest passions was that she founded the Wildcat Booster Club when her grandchildren attended P.L. Dunbar High School. During her time as the president of the booster club she became a Matriarch to many friends and family. While in retirement she actively enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally.
On Monday, January 31, 2022, Mildred Riles answered the Masters call and peacefully transitioned from her time here on earth into eternity. Proceeded her father L.C. Little Sr., Brothers, Robert, L.C. Jr, and Randy Little. Left to cherish her memories and legacy is her beloved husband of 38 years Leroy Riles; her 3 children Ronnie Smith; Clyde Smith (Priscilla), and Robbie Riles; and a host of grandchildren; 15 grand and 7 greats. Her dearest Mother Robbie Little, Sisters; Peggy Smith; Lilly Sanders; Bother Roosevelt Little, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends
