June 28, 1935 – November 23, 2020

Nadell “Dude” Henderson, 85, of Texarkana, TX, passed away at the Dallas VA Hospital on November 23, 2020.  He attended Dunbar High School in Texarkana, TX.  He moved to California to join the U.S. Military, where he served in both the Marine Corps and U.S. Army.  He was stationed in both California and Washington where his love for canines evolved while training military K9’s.  Nadell moved to Dallas at a very young age.  He worked for Dallas Power and Light Company for twenty years where he served as supervisor in the Transportation Division of the Distribution Department.  He also owned and operated his own flooring business, Nadell’s Floor Caring, for several years. Nadell enjoyed fishing, hunting, and talking daily to his best friend.  He loved the Lord and was an active member and deacon at various churches in both Texarkana and Dallas, Texas. He also served as a Chaplain at the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.   He was currently attending God’s House Redeemed Ministries Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his children:  Vickie Waller of Texarkana; Derrick Henderson of Dallas, Von Eric Henderson of Dallas, Patrick Bingham of Dallas, Kimberly Bingham of Dallas, and André Henderson of Dallas; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Faye Henderson Scott of Houston; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Mary Henderson; his brothers: Tom Henderson, James Henderson, Otis “Joe” Henderson, Robert “Red” Henderson; and one sister, Louiza Fowler.

A memorial service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at a date to be determined.
