NELL HAMM

November 16, 1951 — August 6, 2021

Nell Yvonne (Creeks) Hamm, the first of twelve children of Dorothy and Richard Creeks. Nell was born November 16, 1951 in Dallas, TX, and attended Dallas ISD schools. She was a proud graduate of the 1970 class of Franklin D. Roosevelt High School.

Upon graduation, Nell graduated from Draughton Business College, and El Centro College in Dallas, as well as other courses to enhance her abilities. During this time, Nell was blessed to begin her own family, and had 3 sons Harrison, Rama’(Rudy), & Christopher.

At an early age, Nell gave her life to Christ as member of New El Bethel Baptist Church. She also was a member of Greater South Central Baptist Church, Greater Mt. Gilead, and worshiped via TV, radio, and the internet with many ministries. Nell was sweet, loving and kind person. She had a giving heart and loved unconditionally. She made a point to expose her sons to the word of God.  Nell was a dedicated mother, that worked tirelessly to provide for her sons and still be a good example. She worked faithfully at many places over the years and was a loyal employee at the Department of the Treasury over 30 years.

Throughout her life, she had many hobbies such as reading, writing, music, and she was very passionate about her ancestry and genealogy. She spent countless hours researching her family and others. Nell was a reserved person, but very passionate about Family. There were many things that made her smile, but nothing quite like the pride and joy she had for her precious grandchildren. Harrison II, Harrington, Hamilton, & Rhian. She was overjoyed over the arrival of her great-granddaughter Haisynn. This life does bring pain and illness, which she battled through with dignity. On August 6, 2021 completed her race, and heard the voice of the Lord, say “Well Done, my good and faithful servant”.

Nell was preceded in transition by her parents Dorothy and Richard Creeks, brothers Jaunel (Robbie), and Wayne Creeks.

She leaves eternal love through her sons, Harrison Sr. (Yolanda), Rama (Shajuana), and Christopher Hamm. grandchildren Harrison II (J’Maya), Harrington, Hamilton, and Rhian Hamm. great-granddaughter Haisynn Hamm; siblings, Lora Hopkins, Howard Creeks Sr., Richard Lynn Creeks, Eric Creeks Sr (Pat), Timothy Creeks (Doretha), James Creeks, Vernetta Creeks, Alvin Creeks, and Joseph Creeks.

She also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
