OLLIE RUTH JENKINS, born on July 1, 1936, in Montgomery, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. She devoted her life to her family and her career, serving with distinction as the Manager of Food Preparation for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department.

Ollie was known for her loving and caring nature, often embodying a blend of kindness with the ability to provide stern discipline when necessary. She was a remarkable individual who took pride in encouraging others, graciously welcoming family and friends into her home and creating lasting memories through countless gatherings. Her giving spirit and generosity defined her life and left a profound impact on all fortunate enough to know her.

Her love for cooking and baking was evident in her own bakery business, where she expressed her creativity and passion for culinary arts. Ollie delighted in sharing family history and stories, ensuring that her legacy would be cherished by future generations. She had a particular fondness for watching Western television shows and held her church family in high regard, serving on the Missionary Board and dedicating her time to volunteer work.

Ollie’s proudest accomplishments were always centered around her family, whom she adored deeply. Her life is celebrated not only for her professional successes but for her unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Visitation will be held on March 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A funeral service honoring Ollie’s life will take place on March 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, situated at 1967 Canada Drive, Dallas, TX 75212, followed by her burial that afternoon at 3:30 PM at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, located at 1311 Murdock Rd, Dallas, TX 75217.
