OTIS JOINER

Mr. Otis Charles Joiner was born on May 24, 1938, to the late C. J. Joiner and Emma Estella Young Meyer in Hazlehurst, MS.

He departed this life on May 6, 2018.

He joined Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, and he was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Parrish High School. He also joined First Evangelical Missionary Baptist Church in State of CA Pastor Lee R. Chue, Sr. He moved from Mississippi to reside in Oakland, CA, for 45 years where he worked. He later moved to Duncanville, TX, where he remained until his death.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Joiner; mother, Emma Estella Young Meyers; and father, C. J. Joiner, Sr.; and brother,
C. J. Joiner, Jr.

He will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished by: his daughters, Brenda S. Joiner of Hazlehurst, MS, and Joyce A. Edwards of Dallas, TX; one son, Otis C. Joiner, Jr., of Oakland, CA; sisters, Lou Emma of Picayune, MS, Patricia Ann (Fred) Howard of Oakland, CA, Essie Bouie, and Betty (Larry) Smith; brothers, Williams Young
of Grandprairie, TX, and Jake Joiner of Hazlehurst, MS. He will be missed by 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren; special nieces, Kathleen Shannon and Shirley Young; and a host of other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.
