PEARLIE MENKINS

Pearlie B. Menkins was born to the union of Henry Menkins and Chanie Elizabeth Menkins on December 24, 1922 in Corsicana, Texas.

She was a homemaker for most of her life, but assumed many roles over the years. She was the caregiver for her husband until his health failed and later worked as a housekeeper at the Baker Hotel in downtown Dallas.

On April 26, 2018, Pearlie Menkins made her transit from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and sisters, and her children Aubrey Dunbar, Rebecca English, Lulabell Parker, and Ronnie Dunbar.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, James Dunbar and Larry Dunbar; three daughters, Etta Fisher, Billie Mills, and Regina Howard; 20 grandchildren; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
