Pearlie Beatrice Thompson was born in Mansfield, Louisiana on March 3, 1958 to Gertrude Sanders.
She moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1968 where she began her occupation as a cook. She was a loving, dedicated and strong woman who loved and cherished her family dearly. She was also a great friend to many in her southside community where she lived.
She loved and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She attended church at the Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church until she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ivory Lee Thompson Sr. of 30 years; her daughter, Elizabeth Thompson who passed shortly after birth; brother, Leon Handy; and her adoptive father, KP Handy.
Pearlie leaves to cherish her mother, Gertrude Sanders; daughters, Veare Sanders and Lariet Woods and Shelia Thompson Jones (Leon Jones); son, Ivory Thompson Jr.; all of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Richard Handy; five step sisters, Merle Stevenson, Lottie Mae Stevenson, Levora Brookins, Flora Brauiner, Maxine Stevenson; one very close sister-in-law, Glenda Snider, eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren which includes the newest unborn edition; and a host of other relatives and friends.
