PHYLLIS JEAN HARRIS-FULLWOOD
Phyllis Jean Harris-Fullwood, lovingly known as "Cat," passed away on January 6, 2024, in Dallas, TX. She was born on December 5, 1949, in Dallas, TX, to Clotile Williams and Eddie Joe Morgan.
Phyllis had a vibrant personality that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always be counted on to bring laughter into any room. Phyllis was joyful and lived her life with a straight-forward attitude that inspired those around her.
Education was important to Phyllis, and she attended Lincoln High School. After graduating, she embarked on a career with the Garland Independent School District where she served faithfully until retirement. Phyllis's dedication to education and her commitment to her students left an indelible mark on those she taught.
One of Phyllis's proudest accomplishments was her family. She was devoted to her spouse Aaron Fullwood Sr., creating a strong and loving partnership that lasted through the years. Phyllis cherished her children and found immense joy in their accomplishments. She leaves behind her daughter Ulyanda Manning, her son Benjamin Ashford IV, her son Aaron Fullwood Jr, and her son Joseph Fullwood. Her love extended even further as she adored her numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Their presence in her life brought immeasurable happiness.
Outside of work and family, Phyllis had definite interests that highlighted her vibrant spirit. She loved fishing and found solace amidst the calm waters. Additionally, she enjoyed the thrill of going to the casino with friends by her side.
Phyllis's warm-hearted nature extended beyond family – she had a host of individuals who were fortunate enough to call themselves friends. They admired Phyllis for her thoughtfulness and helpfulness which enriched their lives. Her memory will forever be cherished by those she loved and supported.
Phyllis Jean Harris-Fullwood's legacy will continue to resonate throughout the years. Though her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, the memories of her cooking, thoughtfulness, and helpfulness will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Services to honor Phyllis's life will be held at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. The viewing will take place on January 12, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A prayer service will follow, starting at 7:15 PM and lasting until 8:15 PM on the same day. The funeral service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX, on January 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM.
Phyllis is proceeded by her spouse Aaron Fullwood Sr., her mother Clotile Williams, her father Eddie Joe Morgan, her sister Paula Harris, and her brother Hubert Harris. She also leaves behind her daughter Ulyanda Manning, her son Benjamin Ashford IV, her son Aaron Fullwood Jr., and her son Joseph Fullwood. Additionally, Phyllis is survived by her sister Mary Jewel Lewis and sister Francine Williams. She will forever remain in the hearts of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

May her joyfulness and straight-forward spirit inspire us to live each day to the fullest extent possible. As we bid farewell to our beloved Cat, she shall forever remain a beacon of light in our hearts.
