Renee Roberts Phillips, a dedicated individual who devoted her career to the medical business offices at Parkland Memorial Hospital and St. Paul University Medical Center, has peacefully passed away at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Waxahachie Texas. Born in Dallas Texas on October 2nd, 1954, Renee leaves behind a legacy of compassion and hard work.
Having graduated from Sunset High School in 1973, Renee embarked on a professional journey that touched the lives of many within the medical community. Her commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication shone through in all her endeavors, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. She was a beacon in her community volunteering long hours to mentoring youth cheerleaders.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Renee will forever cherish her memory and (cooking), Renee is survived by her husband Michael Phillips Sr.; sons Micheal Phillips Jr. (LaTasha Marie Jefferson); Jeremiah Phillips; brother Peter Roberts and Jerry Wayne Edwards, grandchildren Aaliyah Renee Phillps, Micheal Deshawn Phillips, Tiara Abrone, Mya Phillips, La’Daijha Renee Phillips, and Dee Williams; nieces Nina Coleman and Santoya and nephew Reggie Roberts. Family was at the heart of Renee's world, and she shared a special bond with each member of her close-knit circle.
Renee was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Edwards and father Nathan Roberts, sister Laura Griffin; brother Glen Parker.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Renee Roberts Phillips will take place on March 2nd, 2024, at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. It is a time for family, friends, and colleagues to come together to pay their respects and reminisce about the beautiful soul that Renee was.
In her journey through life, Renee touched many hearts with her kindness, professionalism, and gentle spirit. Her presence will be deeply missed but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, Renee Roberts Phillips.
