Richard Dewayne Lusk, a beacon of love and strength, was born on June 17, 1972 in Eldorado, Arkansas. He departed this on November 28, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, leaving behind a legacy defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a spirit brought that joy to all who knew him.
Richard was a man of many talents and an unwavering work ethic that earned him recognition from the companies he dedicated himself to throughout his career. His pride and hard work was matched only by his passion for life, as he embraced each day with enthusiasm—determined to live life to the fullest.
Educationally grounded, graduate of W.W.Samuel High School Class of 1991. Richard was an alumnus of Texas State Technical College, where he laid the foundation for his professional endeavors. Yet, despite his achievements, it was his role as a loving family man that truly defined him. Known affectionately as "Big Brother," Richard had an extraordinary knack for caring for those around him, especially his beloved mother, Betty Bealer. He shared a deep bond with his brothers Marques Lusk and Gary Lusk Jr., and he cherished each moment spent with them and his cousins. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, music, and the delicious aromas of his mother’s cooking, which he often claimed was made with love.
Richard's personality shone brightly through his kindness and affection. Those who had the privilege of knowing him remember his strength, warmth, and the dedication he showed towards his loved ones. He had a heart that was always open for others, and his lively spirit brought light into the lives of many.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, Gary Lusk Sr., and maternal grandmother Willie Mae McCullough, whose memories live on in the hearts of his family. He will be sorely missed.
