Rita LaNell Blanton was born August 20, 2016 to Willie Pearl Blanton and Richard Broadway.
Rita attented school in the Dallas Independent School District where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1973. Upon graduating, Rita attended El Centro College and the University of Texas at Arlington.
Rita accepted Christ at an early age where she was a member of The Church Of The Living God The Pillar and the Ground of The Truth and served many years as President of the Pastor’s Aide committee and Usher Board member.
Rita began her career with State Farm Insurance Company where she recently retired after 35 years of loyal service.
Rita leaves to cherish her memory, A Precious Grandmother “Momma” Ollie Faye Thomas; Her Loving Children, Brandi, Rashad, and Brenai Blanton, Her grandson, Jeremiah John Blanton, 1 Brother, Darryl Sally Sr., 1 Sister, Regina Sally, 3 Uncles, Robert Blanton (Lou) Herman Blanton, Eddie Thomas Jr. (Pat) 2 Aunts, Brenda Morgan (Ray) and Peggy Miller (Alonzo) God-Daughters Keisha Hyder, RoShanda Taylor, Stacey Norwood, Faithful friends, Lillian, Janice, Elitha, Helen and Peggy, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
Preceding her in death are her parents: Willie Pearl Jackson, Richard Broadway and Step-Father Ocie Sally.
