ROCHONE HAMILTON

Rochone Lovon Jones-Hamilton was born January 7, 1964 to the late Oscar and Ruby Jones. She received her formal education In Dallas, TX and was a proud Carter Cowboy graduate in the class of 1982. She also embarked on post graduate studies at El Centro College.

Over 30 years ago her knight and shining armor, Donald Hamilton Sr., found her and swept her off her feet. The relationship blossomed and she knew that her prayers had been answered for her and her one year old daughter, Shetierrikia Dismuke. Rochone and Donald united in Holy Matrimony on May 25, 1991 and to this union Mikausha and Donald Jr were conceived.

Rochone professed her faith and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and she, along with her immediate family, united with the Greater Ideal Baptist Church over 40+ years ago. She served God well and was faithful in many capacities and ministries in her church. She served as a young adult usher, deaconess, and youth sponsor, just to name a few of her many roles.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas was her adopted family for over 13 years. She loved going to work there and conversing with her fellow coworkers, who affectionately named her Ms. Cookie Lu.

She genuinely loved entertaining many children, her large family, and her many friends. She was always surrounded with loved ones, even until her heavenly departure.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ruby Jones.

Rochone leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving husband, Donald Hamilton Sr., daughters, Shetierrikia Dsimuke and Mikausha Hamilton and one son, Donald Hamilton Jr, one brother, Anthony (Holly) Jones, two sisters, her twin Rochelle Jones and Lanetia “Sha” (Antron) Pierce, a host of god-children, a nephew, numerous nieces, an abundance of family and many friends.
