Rose M Jackson, lovingly known as Ree, was a remarkable woman who left an indelible impression on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. On December 17, 2023, the world lost an extraordinary soul when she passed away in Dallas. Rose was born on June 21, 1953, in Homer, Louisiana.
Rose did not seek fame or fortune in her life; instead, she dedicated herself to the noble profession of being a homemaker. Her family always came first, and she poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and nurturing environment for her loved ones. Rose's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family. Whether it was cooking together, telling stories around the dining table, or simply enjoying each other's company, she cherished these moments dearly.
Graduating from Homer High School in Louisiana marked a milestone in Rose's educational journey. While her formal education may have ended there, her insatiable curiosity and love for learning continued throughout her life. She possessed a wealth of knowledge gleaned from life experiences and cherished every opportunity to expand her mind.
What truly set Rose apart was her sweet and honest nature. She effortlessly spread warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her gentle disposition made it easy for others to approach her and find solace in their times of need. Rose possessed a rare gift that allowed people to feel seen, heard, and loved.
Outside of her role as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — which undoubtedly brought immense pride to her — Rose reveled in simple pleasures. She found profound joy in the company of loved ones and cherished every moment spent together. Her love knew no bounds and extended far beyond blood relations – friends became family in her heart.
Rose's presence will be profoundly missed by all those who survive her passing. She leaves behind a legacy of boundless love and countless precious memories that will be woven into the fabric of her family's lives forever. Her surviving family members include her beloved spouse, Ricky Jackson; her daughters Stacy Newton and Tangele Jones; her brothers Lester, Elmer T., and Ernest Jones; her sisters Ester Harris, Ruth Jones, Ruby Bursey, Margaret Monk, and Shirley Abbit.
In their hearts, Rose is also cherished by her grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Her memory will be kept alive through the love they shared and the values she imparted.
Rose M Jackson now joins her mother, Jessie Jones, her father, Jesse Jones, and her son Alton Jones in eternal rest. As Rose's soul soars beyond our reach, we find solace in the knowledge that she has been reunited with those who preceded her in death.
Today we remember Rose not with tears of sorrow but with hearts overflowing with gratitude for having been blessed with such a remarkable woman in our lives. She taught us the importance of compassion, authenticity, and cherishing the moments spent together.
We find comfort in knowing that even though physical presence may fade away, memories live on forever. Rose M Jackson will forever be etched in our hearts as a beacon of love and warmth. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she has left an undeniable mark on this world.
