On August 1st, 1927, Rosie Lee Hutchinson was born to the parents of L.G. Buggs and Jimmie Lee Long-Buggs in Hallsville, TX.
Rosie owned one of the first African American Beauty & Barber Unisex establishments; named “Friendly Unisex”. Rosie was known for setting trends to bring California Curls to Fort Worth and known for making her secret jheri curl glycerin. She retired as a hairstylist.
She was preceded in death by her parents L.G. Buggs and Jimmie Lee Long-Buggs; her loving husband, Hoy Hutchinson; her siblings, Travis Buggs, Mary Savannah, Dororthy Patterson, James Buggs, Lucious Grant Buggs Jr. and Emmitt Buggs; her daughters, Willie Jean Hurd and Alice Faye Pope.
She leaves to cherish in her loving memory: her daughter, Evelyn Love-Allen (Wendell); two stepsons, Larry and Kenneth Hutchinson; sister, Katie Jones of Fort Worth; brothers, Ray Buggs of Mexico, Wilford Buggs (Inez) of Colorado, Ezra Buggs of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Federick (Edith), Patrick, Angie (Billy), T’Chia (Kyandra), Jabbar, Burtando (Kimbie) and Marcello (Lillana); a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
