Russell known for his loving and humorous personality. He had a way of lighting up a room with his infectious laughter and vibrant spirit. An artist at heart, he found joy in drawing and had a particular fondness for playing Dominoes, hobbies that reflected his creative soul. Russell was not only a loveable child but also a devoted family man, deeply committed to his loved ones. He demonstrated this devotion most notably by throwing a delightful birthday party for his mother on September 13, 2024, a celebration filled with warmth that encapsulated his caring nature.
Russell attended O.D. Wyatt High School. Throughout his life, he cultivated relationships that grounded him, and he will be remembered not only for his professional contributions but also for the profound impact he had on his family and friends. He worked as a Fork Lift Machine Operator for many years.
Russell is survived by his mother, Regina Richardson; his father, Bruce Richardson; his father, Glenn Russell Johnson; his girlfriend, Sherry Woodard; and his brothers, Donovan Johnson, Bruce Richardson Jr., and Demond Preston. He also leaves behind his wife, Farron Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Blackman and Bobbie Blackman, whose memories will continue to live within the hearts of their family.
Services to honor Russell Glenn Johnson will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home and Cremation in Fort Worth. The viewing is scheduled for September 24, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A prayer service will take place on September 30, 2024, beginning at 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on October 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM, wrapping up the farewell with a final tribute at 12:00 PM.
