Ruthan L. Davis, a radiant soul born on April 10, 1969, in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy illuminated by love, wisdom, and unwavering faith. She was not just a beloved daughter of her hometown, but also a cherished friend, an inspiring mentor, and a beacon of hope for many.

In her career with AT&T, Ruthan dedicated herself to her work with the same fierce passion she applied to every other aspect of her life. Yet, it was not her job alone that defined her; rather, it was her role as a missionary that truly exemplified the depth of her heart. Ruthan had an extraordinary ability to speak God into the lives of others, lifting spirits and instilling hope wherever she went. The warmth of her words was matched only by her fiery personality—a social butterfly who thrived in the company of friends and family alike.

Ruthan’s love for life was evident in her many hobbies and interests. Whether she was racing in her beloved Corvette Club, piecing together puzzles, or indulging in delightful shopping trips at J.C. Penney, there was always a touch of excitement and joy in her activities. Her passion for cooking transcended meal preparation; it was a means of sharing love, creating delicious memories for those fortunate enough to gather around her table. And her voice—oh, how it would fill the room! Singing brought her immense joy, a cherished pastime that reflected the very essence of her spirit.

A proud graduate of W.T. White High School, Ruthan carried her education forward into the world, imparting wisdom gained from both books and life lessons to those she mentored. Her nurturing heart and unyielding guidance made a considerable impact, especially on the lives of her children, whom she regarded as her proudest accomplishments. They were the lights of her life, and her devotion to them was boundless.

Ruthan’s memory will be honored at a viewing on January 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, followed by a wake service at 7:15 PM. The celebration of her life will continue with a funeral service on February 1, 2025, at Victory Temple COGIC, starting at 11:00 AM.

As we bid farewell to Ruthan, we remember her not only for her remarkable achievements and her flair for life but also for her deep connection with the Lord and her relentless spirit that often felt like a spark—a firecracker illuminating the lives of those around her. In her life, she taught us the power of community, faith, and most importantly, love. Ruthan L. Davis will be deeply missed but her legacy will forever echo in our hearts.
