SAMMIE JACKSON

Mrs. Sammie Lee Jackson born November 29,1929 in Lodi, Texas located in Jefferson County to parentage of Mr. Norman Waites and Queenie McIntosh. Mrs. Jackson received her formal education in Lodi, Texas. She graduated from Wiley College with a degree in accounting. She was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Miss Sammie Lee Waites met and married Mr. Bernis P. Jackson April 30,1949 (60) years until his death in 2009. To this union, seven children were born. Mrs. Jackson was self-employed. She departed this life on January 8, 2021. She leaves her memory: five daughters, Victoria Emmons of Vista, California; Dianne Williams, Bonita Williams, Sandra Brown (Wayne) and Kathy Jackson all of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Bernis Jackson Jr. (Trina) and Vincent Jackson of Dallas, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, one granddaughter, Dawn Williams preceded her in death, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family
