SARAH DISMUKE

Sarah L. Dismuke was born August 20, 1933, in Norphlet, Arkansas, to Ernest and Lilly Gay McGraw. She attended school in Smackover, Arkansas. In 1954, she married Elmer Sr., and in 1955, they relocated to Dallas, Texas. She joined Ervay Cedar Baptist Church in 1967, where she loved interacting with her church family, and became a lifetime member of the choir, Pastor’s Aid, Mother Board and Missions. She was a member for 50 years. She recently joined the F.M.C.M. Prayer Line, where she will be dearly missed. Receiving her wings on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Sr., and Lillie G.; four brothers; one sister, Minnie Davis; and three children Annie M., E. Ray, and Elmer Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory: her daughters, Elma J. Sanders (Raymond) and Chandra Dismuke Myles (Ronnie); sons, Terry Dismuke and Elmer Dismuke III, 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and so many special friends.
