Sharino Lynn Shanell Derrett was born August 25, 1983 to the parentage of Michael Lynn Jackson, Sr. and Janny Derrett­ Dodd. She received her formal education in the DISD.

She is preceded by her brother Cedric C. Derrett, Sr. cousin Franklin Dewayne Alix, aunts Daisy Derrett, Jennifer Jackson, Rae Donna Powell and uncle Jeffrey Jackson.
